Converting L atm to Joule | Litre Atm to Joule

Here in this post, we will convert L atm to Joule. L atm is also known as Litre Atmosphere.

L atm to Joule

L atm is the product of 2 units and these 2 units are Litre (unit of volume) and Atmospheric pressure (or atmosphere which is a unit of pressure).
L atm, hence, is the product of volume and pressure and dimensionally represents work done or energy.

Now, let’s convert L atm to its SI counterpart, i.e., Joule.

1 Litre = 1000 mL = 1000 cm3 = (1000)/106 m3 = 10-3 m3

1 atm = 101.3 KPa = 101.3 x 103 Pa (approx)

Hence, 1 L atm = 1 Litre x 1 atm = 10-3 m3 x 101.3 x 103 Pa = 101.3 Joule (approx)

Here we are adding a few relevant unit conversions for quick reference.

1 atm or atmospheric pressure to Pascal

1 atm = 1 bar (approx)= 76.0 cm of mercury (cm Hg) = 760 mm of mercury (mm Hg) = 760 torr.
Again, 1 atm = 101.325 kPa = 101 x 103 Pa

1 Litre to m3 | 1 Litre to cubic meter | 1 Litre to meter cube

1 Litre = 1000 mL = 1000 cm3 = (1000)/106 m3 = 10-3 m3

1 millilitre to cm3

1 Cubic centimeter (cm3) is equal to 1 milliliter (mL)

or, 1 milliliter (mL) = 1 Cubic centimeter (cm3)
