How to use Latex to display Roots

Let’s see how to use Latex to display Roots. The \sqrt command in Latex produces a square root.

Examples:

  • $\sqrt{5}$ typesets as √5
  • $\sqrt{a + 2b + c^{2}}$ typesets as the following:

  • For 𝑛-th roots other than the square root, that is, 𝑛 ≠ 2, specify 𝑛 with an optional argument.
