Here, we will find out the dimensional formula of force.

The formula of force = mass x acceleration

The dimension of mass = [M]

The dimensional formula of acceleration = [M⁰LT^–2] [see here how to find the dimensional formula of acceleration ]

Hence, the Dimensional formula of force
= The dimension of mass x The dimension of acceleration
= [M] [M⁰LT^–2]
= [M¹LT^–2]
= [MLT^–2]

Dimensional formula of force = [MLT^–2]
